Kristine Sprague, LEED AP specializes in residential design. Since 1999, Kristine has been expertly designing new residences as well as additions and renovations to existing homes. Now practicing in San Clemente, CA and serving south Orange County, the firm has an extensive portfolio of projects ranging from $100k renovations up to $1 million new homes. She is extremely conscientious of working with the existing home’s style and character as well as integrating the clients’ vision and desires for their project.
Kristine works closely with clients to develop a design scheme via 3D computer modeling. A final design gradually evolves, taking its cues from the existing structure, the context, the Client’s vision, and the Architect’s knowledge of current design and construction techniques. Each project results in an innovative solution, employing classical design principles of proportion, scale, suitability, comfort, and elegance. Sustainable design solutions and material choices are seamlessly incorporated throughout the process.
Once the final design has been approved the firm completes a set of construction drawings, details, and specifications for submission to the building department. We also provide assistance with permitting, bidding, and construction observation. The firm has expertise on Architrion, AutoCad, Sketchup, and Revit.
Kristine also has experience with restoration and rehabilitation of historic fabric such as original windows, timber framing, wood paneling, plaster moldings, mantles, and stone and brick masonry.
